In Ghaziabad, a 35-year-old man was arrested for the alleged killing of a 70-year-old woman following a confrontation with her son in Madhuban Bapudham. Police reported that the son, Bijendra Kumar, had an argument with the accused, Majid, who resides in the same area. An official stated that during the dispute, Majid pushed the woman, Ramvati Devi, causing her to fall and sustain fatal injuries. ACP Abhishek Srivastava explained that the incident took place when Majid, an e-rickshaw driver allegedly intoxicated, was sitting outside the Kumar residence. Ramvati intervened in an attempt to calm the situation but tragically fell, resulting in her death. The accused has been charged under relevant sections of the law and has been remanded to judicial custody after being presented in court.
